Scheduling, Registration, Visits and Billing in One Secure System.

On April 1, 2017, all hospitals and health centers within the Bassett Healthcare Network will transition to a new billing, registration and scheduling system that will create a streamlined patient experience from check in to billing.

Not only will you have access to your medical record through our secure patient portal, MyBassett, you will be able to communicate with your physician on non-urgent issues, access consolidated billing statements, make payments, receive appointment reminders and request a prescription renewal, all online. In the future, you will be able to schedule appointments with Bassett Medical Group providers.

What does this change mean to you?

  1. Streamlined Billing. – For appointments on or after April 1, 2017, your bills will look different and you will now get consolidated monthly billing statements from each location. The new monthly consolidated statements will contain a running balance of amounts due for admissions or appointments on or after April 1, 2017.
  2. Billing for Appointments Before April 1, 2017. – Balances from appointments prior to April 1, 2017, will receive separate billing statements in the prior statement format. Please contact MedSPAR at (607) 729-9885 for information on balances for admit dates prior to April 1, 2017.
  3. Online Bill Pay through MyBassett. – For all appointments after April 1, 2017, you will be able to view your bill, with details, and make credit card payments online 24/7. Balances in MyBassett do not include any amounts for services prior to April 1, 2017. Please contact MedSPAR at (607) 729-9885 for information on balances for services prior to April 1, 2017.
    Your MyBassett account will not show any past due amount referred to outside collection. Please contact The Law Offices of Burr & Reid, LLP at (607) 798-1521 for information on balances referred to collection.
  4. Sign up for Payment Plans Online. – Patients with admit dates of April 1, 2017 or later have the option of making payment plans online through MyBassett or by calling MedSPAR at (607) 729-9885.
